The
universal digital camera coupler is designed to be used with many
digital cameras on the market today. The cameras must have
an accessible female mounting thread to enable the coupler to
thread onto the camera. Since digital cameras come in a variety
of thread sizes, it may be necessary to use "step-down" rings
to match the 37mm male thread on the 25-70-11 universal digital
coupler. In addition,
some cameras will also need a lens adapter to accommodate the
in/out movement of the lens when the zoom is used. These
lens adapters will have a front mount diameter that will accept
the appropriate step-down rings if needed. (If Thales Optem does
not supply the required step-down rings and lens adapters, these
adapters may be purchased through www.dcprodirect.com).
Mounting Requirements
Your camera must have an accessible female mounting thread in
order to utilize the universal digital coupler. The basic 25-70-11
digital coupler ends in a male M37x0.75 thread. The M37 thread
is a common camera lens thread, but if your camera is not equipped
with this thread size, contact www.dcprodirect.com to purchase.
